
Lee Mitchelson
“Lee Mitchelson has been a professional artist for 5 decades, with emphasis on wildlife, horses, dogs, commissioned portraits and book illustrations.
Lee was personally selected by world-renown photographer and writer Robert Vavra, to illustrate two of his books, “The Unicorn of Kilimanjaro” and “Vavra’s Horses”, and, by Africa explorer William Wheeler, Jr. to do art for his lifework, “Alive in Africa”. Her art is in the permanent collection of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Lee belongs to Oil Painters of America and Artists and Biologists Unite for Nature.”
